Volunteer Opportunities at the World Mission Conference

Set-up:

4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Help unload the supply trucks, set up tables and chairs, tech set-up.

If you’ve ever wondered what it is like to be a ‘roadie’ on a concert tour this is the job for you. Looking for 4-5 folks to help receive the supply trucks from International Ministries and initial set-up.

6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Tech set-up (lights, staging, sound system) and general conference set-up.

Looking for 4-5 volunteers of all ages and abilities to help the IM staff and local committee with conference set-up.

Set-up:

9:00 a.m.

Continue tech set-up. Looking for 4-5 volunteers, all ages, all skill levels.

9:00 a.m.

Set up exhibit tables. Looking for 2 volunteers.

10:00 a.m.

Set up registration area. Looking for 2 volunteers.

Conference opens at 2:00 pm.

2:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Handle sales for two missionaries, Duane Binkley and Karen Smith, who will have items for sale from their ministries. Can volunteer to help during any time between 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Looking for multiple folks to cover these times.

2:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Parking attendants. Need volunteers to help direct conference attendees to the appropriate parking areas at the conference site. Looking for 4-6 volunteers able to help out during these times.

6:30 p.m.

Greeters and Ushers. Looking for 2-4 volunteers to serve with folks from Second Baptist Church as greeters and ushers for the evening program.

6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Child care help. Looking for 2-3 volunteers to help with nursery care, 4 volunteers to help with Kid’s Program (2 volunteers for 1st - 3rd graders, 2 volunteers for 4th – 6th graders). These volunteers will work with Kim Beard, coordinator of child care and Kid’s program.

Registration. Looking for 2-3 volunteers who can help at the registration tables for any amount of time during these hours.

8:00 a.m.

Parking attendants. Looking for 2-3 folks who can help serve as parking attendants as people arrive for the morning sessions.

8:30– 10:00 a.m.

Greeters and Ushers. Looking for 2 – 3 folks who can serve as greeters and ushers along with folks from Second Baptist Church as people come in for the Morning Session.

8:30 a.m. – Noon

Child Care and Kids Program volunteers. Looking for 2 volunteers for nursery care, 2 volunteers for pre-school child care, 2 volunteers for 1st – 3rd grade Kid’s Program and 2 volunteers for 4th – 6th grade Kid’s program. These volunteers will work with Kim Beard, coordinator of child care and Kid’s program.

8:30 a.m. – Noon

Youth program volunteers. Looking for 2 volunteers to work with Tim Moore with the teenage Youth Program.

1:00– 4:45 p.m.

Looking for 2 volunteers for nursery care, 2 volunteers for pre-school child care, 2 volunteers for 1st – 3rd grade Kid’s Program and 2 volunteers for 4th – 6th grade Kid’s program. Banquet ticket collectors. Looking for 2-3 volunteers to collect tickets to the evening banquet at the Suffield Academy , across the street from the conference site.

Tear-down. Looking for 8 volunteers to help dismantle the tech set-up.

Pack-up tech equipment. Looking for 4-5 volunteers to help with packing up the technical equipment.
