Aid for Guatemala

The South Woodstock Baptist Church has a developed a close ministry partnership with a church in eastern Guatemala, Iglesia Christo el Rey in Teculutan, Zacapa. Our church is currently working with the pastor of this church in Guatemala, Pastor Noe Giron, to provide emergency disaster relief for the many people who have been displaced by the volcanic eruption in the western region of Guatemala.

We invite our sister churches in Connecticut to consider aiding us in our efforts to send financial support to Guatemala for the purchase of emergency supplies, food, water and diapers that can be delivered immediately into the most affected areas. The Government in Guatemala has asked all of its citizens to participate in providing supplies and we want to help our brother and his church in this effort.

Support can be sent to:
The South Woodstock Baptist Church
P.O. Box 86
Woodstock CT 06281
memo - Guat. Disaster Relief

Once the immediate need of food and emergency supplies is met we plan to continue to work to provide through our partner organization Hope for Tomorrow, Guatemala Inc. “household relief kits” that will aid those families who have lost their homes and all of their belongings in this disaster.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration and may God's blessing be upon you.
